The GTI is getting louder this week and I’m quite excited!
I’m very slow when it comes to modifying my own cars. I love to help my friends choose stuff to modify their own cars, but generally wait a bit before modifying my own. Don’t really have a reason, think it’s because I don’t like to tinker or mess things up. I’ve owned my GTI for two years now and this is the first modification I’ll be making! #Stocklyfe no more!
The GTI is a great car, but lacks in the sound department. This Borla S-type exhaust should be a good mix of loud when on it and tame when not.

I'll never understand having a dual exhaust on a car with an inline engine. But I guess there aren't any great solutions for the dual cutout rear bumper.

With the S2000 it kind of made sense since every single exhaust runs on the loud side, but I figure with the turbo the gti wouldn’t need a second muffler

I feel the same about my STi, I think I would enjoy it more if it were just louder. But then again one of my favorite parts about the car is that I can cruise on the highway with the windows up in relative peace and quiet at 80mph for hours on end. Of which, I certainly cant do in my Miata.
I think I just need to find an exhaust with just a bit more noise on power but no highway drone.

I like the look but do agree! My old Si had a single exit.

I think that’s why it took me so long to decide, wanted to make sure I got the right mix. These motors don’t sound the best so I didn’t want it super loud.
The STI sounds great but so many Subies are too loud.
